Atlanta Freethought Society will host a nationally acclaimed atheist and humanist writer Dale McGowan on Sunday, society president Rick Pace said. McGowan will talk about his latest book, “Atheism for Dummies,” and related matters. McGowan was named 2008 Harvard Humanist of the Year. McGowan’s books will be available for purchase and signing. The McGowan program, free and open to the public, will be preceded by conversation and socializing starting about noon—and a meal at a local eatery will follow the program, for those interested. The program will start at about 1 p.m. at AFS Hall, 4775 N. Church Lane, Smyrna.
