A northwest Atlanta library employee said she's scared to go back to work after an armed robbery at her branch.
The robbery happened Friday afternoon at the Perry Homes Library on Bolton Road.
Three victims spoke to Channel 2's Amy Napier Viteri about their encounters with the crooks, who police said are still on the run.
People inside the library said with no cameras or security, they were sitting ducks when the two men came in and robbed them at gunpoint.
"Who robs a library? If you rob a library, you're robbing people," said Glen Fortenberry.
Fortenberry was one of seven people inside the library during the robbery.
"I heard a woman scream and I looked around, and a guy said, 'You know what this is, get on the ground. Don't look at me!" he said.
Fortenberry was at a computer and said he turned to see a gun pointed directly at his face.
"I saw him and I was sitting down and I saw him. The gun and his face just like I just saw you. That's how close I was," Fortenberry told Napier Viteri.
He said the man ordered him to get on the ground.
"I went in my pocket and gave him all my change. He said 'I know you got some dollars.' I said take it. Easy man. Be patient I'm getting my wallet out now," Fortenberry said.
The crook took all his cash from his wallet while a second man robbed others inside.
"I can't eat. I can't sleep. I'm by myself. I can still see the man pointing the gun at me," said Fortenberry.
Channel 2 Action News talked with an 18-year-old working at the library who asked to conceal her identity. She said one man pointed a gun at her, stopped her and robbed her when she tried to run away.
"The library doesn't have any security, so I feel if I was to go back I keep thinking he's going to come back again," she said.
Police said there are no security cameras on the property. The teen, who's only worked there a month, says she is fearful.
