One of the victims in the triple shooting at a DeKalb County Popeyes remained in critical condition Wednesday, two days after the violence broke out in the restaurant’s parking lot, killing one person.

One person is in custody in connection with the melee, DeKalb police said, though they did not identify them or say if they have been charged.

The deceased victim was identified Wednesday as 35-year-old Alisha Stephens of Fairburn, DeKalb police Sgt. J.D. Spencer said.

Police found Stephens and a male victim on the ground next to a Ford pickup truck in the Popeyes parking lot on Panola Road at about 9:20 p.m. Monday, according to a copy of the police report obtained by AJC.com. They each suffered one gunshot wound and were taken to Grady Memorial Hospital.

Police later found a third person shot, though it is unknown if he is a victim or a suspect, the report stated.

Three guns were found on the scene.

Popeyes employees told police they heard gunshots but did not see anything.

An investigation is ongoing.
