A Cumming man was killed Friday evening when his motorcycle was hit by a car on Peachtree Industrial Boulevard in Gwinnett County.

The car’s driver has been charged with vehicular homicide.

Joe Vaughn, 50, was traveling northbound on Peachtree Industrial Boulevard at South Old Peachtree Road when he was struck by Soo Wan Kim, 26, of Norcross, who was traveling southbound, according to investigators.

Kim began to turn left onto South Old Peachtree Road and collided with the motorcycle driven by Vaughn, police said.

Kim has been charged with second-degree vehicular homicide and failure to yield while turning left, police said, adding that alcohol was not thought to have been a factor.
