Nichols Drive will be temporarily closed to through traffic Monday between James Burgess Road and Nichols Road in southeast Forsyth County. The closure will allow for the replacement of a failing pipe and the construction of a new reinforced box culvert that will be sized to better handle heavy rains. The road is expected to reopen on or before Friday.

The project is funded by SPLOST VI, a 1-percent sales tax approved by voters February 5, 2008.
