Police have arrested the girlfriend of a man who was shot to death Sunday at an apartment complex in East Point, authorities said.

The shooting happened at The Woods at Camp Creek Apartments on Kenelworth Drive, where officers found the man suffering from a gunshot wound, according to East Point police spokesman Sgt. James Watkins. The victim was conscious when he was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital, but later died from his injuries, police said.

He was identified as 24-year-old Antonio Frost by the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office.

On Monday afternoon, Watkins said Frost’s girlfriend was taken into custody “in regards to the incident” at the complex, which is located near Camp Creek Parkway and I-285 in Fulton County.

The woman, who was not publicly identified, was booked into the Fulton jail on charges of murder, aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, Watkins said. He said it was the second homicide this year in East Point, and that arrests were made in both cases.

No other details were shared about what led to the gunfire. Watkins said the shooting remains under investigation.
