Jalessia Brown is facing a charge of murder in the shooting and stabbing death of her 32-year-old boyfriend.

Investigators have arrested a woman accused of fatally shooting and stabbing her boyfriend during a “heated argument” last weekend inside his Clayton County home.

Cameron Bell Palmer, 32, was found on the floor of his bedroom Saturday afternoon when police responded to the home in the 4000 block of Sweetbriar Lane near Forest Park, Clayton police spokeswoman Officer Halekia Helm said.

Palmer had multiple stab and gunshot wounds, and died of his injuries, according to police.

During their investigation, detectives identified his girlfriend, 31-year-old Jalessia Brown, as the suspect in the killing. Police said Brown ran from the home after the deadly encounter. She was discovered about 4 a.m. the following day and taken into custody.

Clayton County detectives said Brown admitted to killing her boyfriend in interviews. It wasn’t immediately clear what the two were arguing about.

Brown is charged with felony murder and aggravated assault. She was being held without bond at the Clayton County jail on Friday morning, online records show.
