South Fulton officer accidentally shot during training at gun range
A South Fulton officer accidentally shot himself while qualifying for mandated yearly training, the department said.

May 9, 2023A South Fulton police officer accidentally shot himself in the leg while holstering his gun at a shooting range Tuesday, the department confirmed.
The officer was qualifying for the yearly mandated course for state certification, spokesperson Capt. Derrick Rogers said. The officer was taken to a hospital with an injury that was not life-threatening, Rogers said.
