Decatur police have released photos of a man suspected of kidnapping a woman Dec. 30, forcing her to make several ATM withdrawals, then shooting her in the leg.

The incident began around 7:30 a.m. when the woman, who was not identified, was approached by the man in the 200 block of North Arcadia Avenue, Decatur police said in a statement. The man pulled a gun and forced the woman into her car, then got in the car himself. After visiting several ATMs, the man shot the woman in the leg and fled, police said. The woman suffered a non-life-threatening injury and was able to drive to a nearby hospital.

Decatur police have released photos of the suspect taken from surveillance video. The man can be seen wearing a navy blue hoodie, white facemask, blue jeans and black sneakers with white laces. Investigators are asking for the public’s help in identifying the man.
