Police investigate fatal shooting in NW Atlanta
Homicide investigators were called to a northwest Atlanta apartment complex on Saturday night after a man was fatally shot.
Officers with Atlanta Police Department’s Zone 1 were called to the 1000 block of Hollywood Road and found the man with a gunshot wound. He was taken to Wellstar Atlanta Medical Center in critical condition and died shortly after arriving at the hospital, according to police.
His name was not released.
Aggravated assault investigators initially responded, but homicide detectives were called to the scene after the man died, police said in a statement. The death remains under investigation, and no information about suspects or motive has been released.
