A man was shot and killed in a southwest Atlanta neighborhood Wednesday night, according to authorities.

Atlanta police got a call about a person shot around 9 p.m. in the 1900 block of Rambling Drive. The area is between Metropolitan Parkway and I-85.

Officers found the man with an apparent gunshot wound and in critical condition. They tried to save his life, but he was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been released.

No other details about the case have been released by police.
