A shooting at a Chamblee home left a man dead Sunday night, officials said.

Chamblee officers were called to the 1900 block of Clairmont Terrace about 8:30 p.m. and found the victim on a back patio. He was pronounced dead at the scene, according to city officials.

His family identified him as Alan Kaiser, 58, of Chamblee.

“Officers are currently investigating the shooting as a homicide,” assistant city manager Mercy Montgomery said in a news release.

The shooting remains under investigation. It was not clear Monday if police had identified any suspects or determined a motive.
