Gwinnett County police are investigating after a man’s body was found in front of a home on Ridge Oak Drive near Suwanee.

Officers responded about 10 a.m. Monday and found the man, later identified by police as 44-year-old Matthew Jones of Suwanee, with a stab wound. The homicide unit responded, according to police, and no further information about a possible motive or suspect was released.

“He was the kindest person, a loving son, brother and uncle,” his sister, Kim Bauman, told Channel 2 Action News.

“It’s very quiet, peaceful,” Villedrouin said of his neighborhood. “Never usually have any problems.”
