DeKalb County police are searching for the driver who smashed through a floor-to-ceiling window at a gas station in Panthersville early Tuesday morning but did not remain at the scene.

Officers were called to a Chevron at 3402 Flat Shoals Road around 2:15 a.m. after getting reports of a car hitting the building, DeKalb police said. No one was injured in the crash, but the driver fled before police arrived.

The store, which is located near the Gallery at South DeKalb shopping mall, was seriously damaged in the crash. Photos from the scene show that a large plate-glass wall of windows was shattered, with glass littering the sidewalk and parking lot.

Later Tuesday, police posted requests on social media asking DeKalb residents to share photos or videos of aggressive drivers and street racers by sending them to dekalbintel@dekalbcountyga.gov.

Police did not say if the driver who crashed into the Chevron was suspected of aggressive driving or street racing.
