Cops: Man threatened Paulding homeowners with gun after dispute over dog

Paulding County sheriff’s deputies are searching for a man they say threatened the residents of a home near Dallas with a handgun after his dog nearly attacked the homeowners on their property.

The incident took place around 6 p.m. on April 6 at a home on Electric Dam Road just north of Dallas, the sheriff’s office said. The homeowners got involved in an argument with the man after a threatening encounter with his dog, according to deputies.

During the argument, the man pulled out what the sheriff’s office described as an “AR-15-style pistol” and brandished it at the homeowners. Photos taken from security cameras at the scene show the man holding the gun in the air as he appears to argue with someone outside of the frame.
