Multiple businesses along a busy DeKalb County road were shot at early Monday morning, according to Brookhaven police.

Officers were called to the area of Buford Highway a quarter-mile west of North Druid Hills Road around 5:45 a.m. They found multiple shell casings in a parking lot and in the road between the Sun Tan shopping center and a Shell gas station, police said.

No injuries were reported, but the windows of a Waffle House and a nearby dentist office were shattered. A bullet hole was also seen in the door of a Mercedes parked outside an auto repair shop next door.

The resulting investigation shut down multiple lanes of Buford Highway for two hours Monday.

No other details have been released as detectives continue to investigate.
