A fatal crash temporarily blocked part of Martin Luther King Jr. Drive in southwest Atlanta on Monday morning.

Atlanta police said one person was killed in the two-car collision near Larchwood Road in the Florida Heights neighborhood near the Westview Cemetery. It was reported around 10:30 a.m. and involved a Toyota Corolla and a Ford Focus. Both of their front ends were crumpled by the impact.

The driver of the Corolla was the sole occupant of the vehicle and was declared dead at the scene. The person was not publicly identified.

The crash was along Martin Luther King Jr. Drive near Westview Cemetery.

Two occupants were in the Focus, and they were both taken to a hospital. They were described as stable.
