Waffle House patrons in Clayton County were enjoying a late-night meal Friday when their outings were interrupted by two armed men wearing masks who robbed the restaurant, authorities said.

Riverdale police are asking for the public’s help to identify the two suspects, who are accused of robbing a Waffle House on Ga. 85 just before midnight. They got away with an undisclosed amount of money, according to an alert.

In the news release, authorities said the men approached the counter after entering the restaurant. One suspect pulled out a pistol and demanded money from an employee, while the other suspect jumped the counter and took money from the cash register, police said.

At least one of the men was armed with a tan and black semi-automatic pistol, according to the release.

Both men fled the scene headed south toward Denham Street. Police consider the suspects “armed and dangerous” and are warning the public not to approach them if they are spotted but instead call authorities.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Investigator Michael Lee at 770-909-5430 or 404-217-2503.
