A 1-year-old was found dead inside a car at a parking deck in the Emory University Hospital area Thursday night, police said.

The mother was also in the car found in the 1700 block of Lowergate Drive, DeKalb police Lt. Lonzy Robertson said. She was in stable condition Friday morning, according to police.

“We are currently deeming it a suspicious death, and we do not suspect foul play,” Robertson said.
