An 18-year-old in Hall County was arrested on 54 counts of sexual exploitation of a child, authorities said.
Deputies arrested Justin Jeffrey Edge after the Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Office sent them information about Edge’s cellphone containing images, videos and photos of child pornography, the Hall County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.
The GBI examined the contents of the phone after receiving a search warrant. After the Hall County Sheriff’s Office received the agency’s findings, an arrest warrant was obtained for Edge, the release said.
He was arrested around 10:30 a.m. Sunday at a home in the 3200 block of Couch Circle, the release said.
He bonded out of the Hall County Jail for $15,000 Monday just before 8 p.m., the sheriff’s office said.
An investigation is ongoing.
