A woman was hospitalized after she was shot in the face by her ex-boyfriend, according to Atlanta police.

Officers found the woman in the 700 block of McDaniel Street about 6:30 a.m. Wednesday, police spokesman Officer Steve Avery said. The shooting occurred at a different location, according to police.

The woman, who is stable, identified her ex-boyfriend as the shooter, Avery said.
