Atlanta and Emory University police are investigating after a woman was found stabbed Sunday night near the school’s baseball field.

The woman called 911 to report the stabbing around 7 p.m., according to Emory police. She told emergency dispatch she was injured somewhere else and dropped off at the baseball field, police said.

The field is located on Peavine Creek Drive on Emory’s main campus, near several residential buildings.

The woman was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital. Her condition was unknown Monday.

Police asked those on campus to shelter in place before issuing an all-clear around 9 p.m.

The woman was not affiliated with the university, according to Emory police. No other details were released about the stabbing.
