Woman found stabbed on Emory University’s main campus

Atlanta and Emory University police are investigating after a woman was found stabbed Sunday night near the school’s baseball field.
The woman called 911 to report the stabbing around 7 p.m., according to Emory police. She told emergency dispatch she was injured somewhere else and dropped off at the baseball field, police said.
The field is located on Peavine Creek Drive on Emory’s main campus, near several residential buildings.

The woman was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital. Her condition was unknown Monday.
Police asked those on campus to shelter in place before issuing an all-clear around 9 p.m.
An all-clear has been issued for the Emory main campus. According to the victim, who is unaffiliated with Emory, the stabbing did not occur on Emory’s campus. The victim reported being stabbed at another location and dropped off at Emory, where she called 911.

The woman was not affiliated with the university, according to Emory police. No other details were released about the stabbing.
