A woman was killed and a man was injured after an early morning shooting in northwest Georgia, according to police. Now, investigators are looking for the person who shot them.

The shooting happened Tuesday on Jule Peek Avenue, according to Cedartown police spokeswoman Aimee Madden.

The woman was found dead of a single gunshot wound, police Chief Jamie Newsome said. The man was taken to a hospital. His condition was not known.

Police have not released a description of the suspect.

An investigation is ongoing.
