Clayton County police have charged a woman with felony murder in connection with the November shooting death of a man in Jonesboro.

Brittany Wiggins, 23, shot Demarcus Myers, 24, when an argument broke out between them, Clayton County police spokeswoman Sgt. Ashanti Marbury said in a news release Wednesday. The incident happened after Wiggins and Myers had been drinking and playing cards at a gathering of family and friends in the 1600 block of Bogota Way, Marbury said.

Myers died later at a local hospital.

Wiggins, who also has been charged with aggravated assault, could be in the Old National Highway area, or with family in Orlando, Fla., Marbury said. She is described as 5-foot-2, weighs about 200 pounds and has black/brown hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective R. Devogt at 770-473-3929 or call 911.
