An Atlanta woman was arrested twice within a week after being involved in two domestic incidents, with the latest involving a pair of scissors, police said.

Alicia Jones-Mills, 26, faces battery (family violence) charges in both incidents, according to Atlanta police.

Jonathan Williams, who faces one count of battery (family violence), suffered several cuts to his neck, chest, arms and hand during the two fights.

The first incident took place about 10 p.m. April 7, when officers were sent to the 2900 block of Campbellton Road in southwest Atlanta after receiving a domestic dispute call, according to a police incident report.

Williams called police after Jones-Mills bit and attacked him when he took his “new girlfriend” to their apartment, the report said. He told police he asked if the woman could use their bathroom, and Jones-Mills said no.

The other woman left before the argument intensified, the report said. Jones-Mills allegedly told Williams to “square up” at one point, leading to a brawl.

Jones-Mills admitted to the fight but said that Williams pushed her to the ground first and placed her in a headlock, the report said.

The officer could not determine who was the primary aggressor, so both were charged with simple battery (family violence). They were both released from jail on $2,000 bonds, Fulton County jail records show.

About 12:35 a.m. Wednesday, officers were called to the same apartment and found Williams with cuts on one of his hands, police said.

He accused Jones-Mills of attacking him with a pair of scissors during a “dispute over property inside the home,” police said. He was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Jones-Mills remained at the scene and was arrested on her second count of battery (family violence), police said. Both charges are misdemeanors.

She was re-booked into the Fulton County Jail, where she remained Wednesday afternoon without bond, jail records show.

The two fights were the latest incidents to take place in the 2900 block of Campbellton Road, which has had a violent past two weeks.

On March 31, Shirley Ann Fuller was accused of shooting and killing Christopher Martin during a drug-related argument, AJC.com previously reported.
