Police are looking for an alleged strong-arm robber who punched a convenience store clerk while stealing cash from the register in northeast Atlanta on Wednesday.

Around 4:50 p.m., the man entered the clerk’s booth at the Stop N Save at 1932 Hosea Williams Drive, Atlanta police said in a news release.

Surveillance video appears to show the man speak to the clerk briefly before pushing the clerk out of the way to remove cash from the register. The suspect is then seen punching the clerk before running away.

Channel 2 Action News learned the officer was shot in the facial area, but was able to return fire. The suspect was killed.
