Warrant: Man asked girl, 11, to watch him in lewd act at Cobb motel

A man was arrested after he allegedly approached an 11-year-old girl at a Marietta motel and asked her to watch him engage in a lewd act, according to arrest warrants.

Kenneth Glover remained in the Cobb County jail Thursday on enticing a child and obstruction charges, according to jail records.

According to an arrest warrant, Glover approached the girl in the 1000 block of Canton Road, where he offered her $20 if “she would watch him masturbate.”

Police said the child didn’t know what he meant and went to tell an adult.

The child’s mother saw Glover, but barricaded himself in a room when she she attempted to confront him, according to the warrant.

After a SWAT standoff that lasted several hours, Glover was taken into custody.

His next court date is scheduled for 1 p.m. Sept. 18.
