An armed robbery took place at a Waffle House in Troup County early Thursday, authorities said.

A man described as about 5-foot-8 used a handgun to take an undetermined amount of money from the restaurant at 4560 Hamilton Road, the Troup County Sheriff's Office said in a Facebook post.

He was seen wearing a black toboggan-type hat, a wrap on his face, black pants, black shirt and black off-brand-style Crocs, the post said.

No one was injured, the post said. It’s unknown whether he got into a vehicle.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Troup County Sheriff’s Office at 706-883-1616.
