Two women were arrested on April 10 at Baya Pharmacy for allegedly trying to fill an altered prescription.
Officers spoke to the pharmacy staff, who said the women were attempting to fill altered prescriptions.
A prescription for oxycodone had a "40" that was changed to a "90," police said. Police said they verified from the prescribing doctor that the original amount was "40."
Candice Marie Tibbets and Marsha Merie Spicer, both of Lake City, were arrested and jailed.
Tibbets' purse contained 58 additional prescription pills that were not hers, along with a metal pipe with white residue, according to authorities.
Among other charges, both face charges of drug trafficking and possession of a controlled substance.
Spicer was released on a $5,000 bond, while Tibbets remained in custody with a $62,000 bond.
