A set of 19-year-old twins faces murder charges in the fatal shooting of a South Georgia college student originally from Decatur, officials said.
Khalil and Khalif Wagner of Vidalia are also wanted on aggravated assault charges in the Sunday shooting that killed Stevenson Derival, 20, and injured another man, GBI spokeswoman Nelly Miles said Friday.
Few details have been released about the shooting, which occurred during a gathering of about 200 people, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution previously reported.
Derival, who attended Towers High in DeKalb County, wrestled and was on the track and field team at Brewton-Parker, a private Christian college in Mount Vernon. It’s about 165 miles southeast of Atlanta, near Vidalia.
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Khalil and Khalif Wagner are asked to call the local 911 center, the GBI office in Eastman at 478-374-6988 or the Mt. Vernon Police Department at 912-583-2771.
