Police arrested three suspects after they said an argument over money led to gunfire Sunday afternoon, leaving a 16-year-old seriously injured.

About 1:30 p.m., Griffin officers found the teenage boy on Kentucky Avenue with a gunshot wound, police said in a news release. The teen was flown to Atlanta Medical Center, where he remains in stable condition.

A second shooting victim, identified as Perderius Stewart, was found nearby, but he suffered only minor injuries, police said.

Police said the shooting took place during a money dispute, but no other information on what led up to the incident was released.

Investigators spoke to multiple witnesses and then obtained search warrants, the release said. When police executed those warrants, three suspects were arrested: Dequavious Lamar Holland, 22; Brandon Deshard Holland, 20; and Jebre’a Asiaonna Maddox, 18. They each face two counts of aggravated assault, while the Hollands face an additional firearm possession charge, police said.
