Police got back the $900 and weapon used to rob a Henry County McDonald’s about two weeks ago.

But the AK-47 turned out to be a toy, Henry County police spokesman Capt. Mike Ireland said.

A witness told police a man in a ski mask, later identified as

20-year-old Rodney Montague Flournoy Jr., robbed the restaurant about 1:15 a.m. March 14.

The witness gave the tag number to police after watching the man escape in a Kia SUV, Ireland said.

When detectives searched the residence connected to the tag on Wednesday, they arrested Flournoy.

The money and toy gun were found during the search of his residence and car, Ireland said.

Flournoy was booked into the Henry County jail.
