An arrest has been made in a Friday afternoon shooting that left a 17-year-old boy dead and a 20-year-old man injured, South Fulton police said.

Natravious Juwan McDaniel faces charges of murder, aggravated assault and aggravated battery in connection with the shooting, which killed Jermaine Riley and injured Cortez Pounds, police spokesman Lt. Derrick Rogers said late Sunday in a statement.

Riley and Pounds were driving through the Fairfield Square townhomes on Hackamore Drive and Old National Highway when bullets started flying about 3:30 p.m. Friday.

Pounds was taken to an area hospital for treatment. He is expected to recover, police told Channel 2 Action News on Friday.

McDaniel, 20, of Atlanta, is being held in the Fulton County Jail, records show. His bond has not been considered.
