A Tennessee man is in jail, accused of attacking another man with a spatula and a knife, according to the Memphis Police Department.

Officers responded to a wounding call around 2 a.m. Saturday.

The 25-year-old victim told police he was arguing with 18-year-old Patrick Maxwell when he was struck with a spatula and stabbed with a gold colored knife.

The victim taken to Regional One hospital in critical condition, but has since been upgraded to non-critical.

Maxwell was arrested and charged with aggravated assault and domestic violence.
