A Rockdale County physics teacher who was filmed making threats to a student has been fired from his job, officials confirmed Thursday.

Paul Hagan is no longer in the classroom at Rockdale Career Academy after a video was posted of him telling a student “by the time (he’s) 21, somebody’s going to put a bullet in your head ... and it might be me the one who does it.”

He was initially placed on administrative leave following the incident.

The student’s mother, April Carr, posted a video of the threat and said she would like charges filed.

“I think it’s a terroristic threat on my son’s life,” she told Channel 2 Action News, “that I definitely don’t take lightly.”
