The GBI has ruled the death of a Conyers woman found inside a Rockdale County home Friday as a homicide.

Sheriff’s deputies previously said the death of Loretta Goolsby, 58, “appears suspicious,” AJC.com reported.

Goolsby’s body was found inside a home in the 1400 block of Lester Road by deputies responding to a missing person call, said Rockdale County sheriff’s spokeswoman Yolande Moore. Moore could not confirm how the body was found or the manner of death, but she said investigators have identified a person of interest in the case.

The GBI’s Crime Lab handled the autopsy.
