Authorities are searching for a suspect they say tied up a man, duct-taped his mouth shut and fatally shot him when he tried to escape.
Antonio Dewayne Mitchell, also known as “Low” or “D.G.,” is the last suspect authorities are searching for in the deadly home invasion in Jackson, the Butts County Sheriff’s Office stated in a Facebook post. Jackson is roughly 50 miles from Atlanta.
Kaitlin Hulsey and an unidentified female juvenile, both of Jackson, and Sharrod Ross of Macon have been arrested and charged with murder, armed robbery and false imprisonment in the Monday night murder, authorities said.
The victim’s name has not been released.
Officials say the foursome intended to burglarize the Mulbery Street home of a male acquaintance of Hulsey. Authorities did not clarify the extent of that relationship.
Once inside, authorities said Mitchell and Ross bound the victim’s wrists and ankles, duct-taped his mouth shut and left him in a room.
“The two went to another part of the house to rob the victim’s roommate, when the victim freed his hands and exited the room,” the sheriff’s office stated in the post.
Authorities said Mitchell and Ross then fired several rounds at the victim, killing him. Deputies arrested Ross, Hulsey and the juvenile a short time later.
Mitchell, who is from Macon, is considered armed and dangerous.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Butts County Sheriff’s Office at 770-775-8216. Tipsters can remain anonymous and receive a reward of up to $2,000.
