Suspect in red Charger shoots man in chest

Atlanta police were chasing a suspect they believed to be in a red Dodge Charger after a man was shot in the chest Thursday night.

Officer Lukasz Sajdak said the wounded man was alert and breathing when police arrived at a Shell gas station on Campbellton Road.

No additional information was immediately available.

A man was killed on the same Campbellton Road outside an Auto Zone in June.
