A suspect has been named in an armed robbery that took place at a Dollar General in Jonesboro in April.

Clayton County police are looking for Dontavius Maurice Sanders, 22, of Senoia, who allegedly stole cigarettes at gunpoint from the Dollar General on Tara Boulevard, according to a news release.

When officers responded to the robbery, the store manager told them Sanders was still inside the store, the release said. Despite police believing the Sanders barricaded himself within a room in the store, he escaped.

Police have obtained a warrant for Sanders for armed robbery.
