A man currently in the Gwinnett County Jail has been linked to more than 30 burglaries in the metro Atlanta area, authorities said.
Erick Dominguez-Ramirez, 35, of Gwinnett County was arrested Friday, the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office announced Tuesday.
Investigators were led to Dominguez-Ramirez after a Century 21 office was burglarized on March 22, according to the news release. Forsyth County authorities worked with officers in multiple jurisdictions to identify and arrest the suspect, who then allegedly confessed to numerous burglaries.
"In working with the neighboring jurisdictions to capture this serial burglar, we believe he has been committing these crimes since April of 2013," said Cpl. Kris Hall, Forsyth County's lead investigator in the case.
Dominguez-Ramirez is being charged in Forsyth County with 10 counts of burglary in the second degree, 10 counts of theft by taking, 10 counts of criminal damage and 10 counts of possession of burglary tools, the sheriff's office said.
Hall said Dominguez-Ramirez also is facing charges related to six burglaries in Gwinnett, 10 in Suwanee, two in Duluth and five in Johns Creek.
