The man accused of killing an Atlanta restaurant manager will remain in jail at least until Jan. 8 after he was denied bond at his first court appearance.

Samuel Ott, 21, has been charged felony murder, aggravated assault, hijacking a motor vehicle, kidnapping, armed robbery and false imprisonment in the Nov. 19 death of Chelsea Beller. Ott was arrested Saturday and made his first court appearance Sunday.

Beller was closing the Barcelona Wine Bar on Howell Mill Road when three people rushed in, tied up employees and demanded cash, according to Atlanta police. Beller gave the trio cash, but was shot in the restaurant office and died from her injuries, police said.

Investigators used DNA from the scene to identify Ott as a suspect. CrimeStoppers is offering $38,000 reward for information leading to the arrests and convictions of two other suspects, who have not yet been identified.
