On July 29, Jahmaal St. Paul’s mother opened her apartment door to a sight no parent wants to see: their dead child.

St. Paul had been shot in the head and back when he was brought to the northwest Atlanta apartment by a man identified by Atlanta police as “Whiteboy,” according to a police report. St. Paul died at the scene.

On Friday, authorities arrested Decarrie Glenn, the man they believed to be involved in a shootout that ultimately killed St. Paul. It’s not clear if St. Paul was involved in the shootout.

St. Paul had been found in the back seat of a 2011 Dodge Charger that had been reported stolen out of South Fulton, according to the report. He was taken to the apartment, located in the 1200 block of James Jackson Parkway.

After “Whiteboy” explained to St. Paul’s mother what happened, he apologized and left.

Police have not provided a motive in the killing.
