A Morgan County sheriff’s deputy used a controlled crash known as a PIT maneuver to stop two men accused of stealing three Yorkshire Terrier puppies, officials said.

Raheem Anthony Robertson, 21, and his brother, 28-year-old Anthony Tavar Robertson, were arrested Tuesday.

The duo from South Carolina is accused of stealing the puppies from a breeder in Lamar County, the Georgia Department of Public Safety shared on social media.

The breeder, Little Munchkin Yorkies, posted on Facebook that the puppies were worth thousands of dollars and the brothers may have stolen other puppies from area breeders.

"The theft of three Yorkie puppies worth about $3,000 from a Zebulon Road home in Milner resulted in a high speed chase and the capture of two of the three Cruella Deville wannabes involved," the post said.

An alert deputy spotted the suspects’ Mercedes and tried to make a traffic stop, but the driver kept going, officials said.

“Cpl. Seymour became involved in the pursuit and performed a PIT (Precision Immobilization Technique) maneuver ending the pursuit,” officials said on Facebook.

Morgan County Sheriff Robert Markley told the Macon Telegraph the brothers "well exceeded 100 miles per hour" as they sped through a construction site and into closed lanes and the emergency lane.

A third man, who drove an Acura, got away but the Telegraph reports officials have that man’s name.

The puppies were returned unharmed to the breeder.
