Dec 27, 2015

The shooting victim found dead Saturday morning on a southwest Atlanta street was a 15-year-old boy, officials said.

Few details have been released regarding the death of the boy, now identified as Atlanta resident Preston Lewis. Atlanta police found him around 4:45 a.m. Saturday after responding to a “person down” call on the 400 block of Holderness St. SW.

Authorities believe Lewis was shot one time. No arrests have been made and no suspects have been named.

Channel 2 Action News reported that a stolen vehicle was removed Saturday from an area near the scene. It was unclear if that vehicle was believed connected to Lewis’ death.
