South Georgia man arrested, accused of running over his uncle after dispute

A South Georgia man has been arrested after allegedly running over his uncle after a disagreement.

Oscar Ryan Aycock Jr., 52, was arrested Tuesday by Randolph County authorities in connection with the death of 77-year-old Henry Aycock, the GBI said in a news release.

The incident happened late Wednesday in the 100 block of Cowarts Store Road in Shellman, where Oscar Aycock is believed to have run over Henry Aycock with a vehicle, authorities said. Henry Aycock was dead when police arrived.

Oscar Aycock has been charged with felony murder and aggravated assault.

The body will be taken to the GBI’s Crime Lab in Macon. No other information about the dispute was released.

Shellman is about 160 miles southwest of downtown Atlanta.
