Cobb County police responded to two shootings Friday night, including one that started as an altercation at a high school basketball game.

Kibren Moore, 18, was shot just after 9:45 p.m. in the area of Old Alabama Road and Pisgah Road, Cobb County police said in a news release. Pebblebrook High School is near that intersection, and the school hosted Westlake High School on Friday night. The game started at 7:30 p.m.

Moore was taken to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, consisting of a gunshot wound to his shoulder, the release said.

The second shooting happened in the 6000 block of Factory Shoals Road around 7:20 p.m., where Michael Davis, 25, of Jonesboro, was shot at while driving his car in a parking lot, the release said.

Multiple shots hit his car, and one hit him, the release said. He was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The suspect is believed to have driven off in a white Mercedes, but no description of the suspect was given.
