A 20-year-old Dallas man was shot and killed at a home in Powder Springs over the weekend, Cobb County police said.

They are still searching for Rodney Tyreek Koen II’s shooter.

“The people who killed my son, I think you should turn yourselves in,” his father, Rodney Koen, told Channel 2 Action News. “You've done a horrible thing. This could happen to your brother, your son, your cousin.  You could be in the same situation as I am right now.”

About 12:40 a.m. Saturday, emergency services arrived at the home in the 4600 block of Hunter Road, Cobb police Sgt. Dana Pierce said.

“When they arrived on the scene they discovered the body of a deceased male lying on the front walkway of the residence, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds,” Pierce said.

Relatives told Channel 2 that the man was shot after an argument at a house party, described as a “coming home” gathering for a friend in the military.

“He was trying to run when gunshots went off,” the elder Keon said. “Somebody through the window shot him. He made it to (a) car, and somebody ran to the car and shot him again.”

Koen was working on his GED so he could enlist in the Navy, Channel 2 reported.

A vigil was held for him Monday in Dallas.
