A man had been conditionally sentenced to spend five years in prison for selling drugs as long as he reported to the DeKalb County Jail by Nov. 30.
He didn’t, and authorities said he chose to run away and stock up on more drugs to sell in Clayton County, meaning he’s now expected to serve 100 years in prison.
Jermaine Johnson was previously arrested in a DeKalb drug bust in March, and he was arrested again Tuesday in McDonough, Clayton County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.

Clayton County and Spalding County deputies obtained the arrest warrants for conspiracy to distribute drugs on Sunday, the release said.
The deputies, along with Henry County deputies and the GBI, tried to find him Monday, but they ended up only locating illegal narcotics when they visited his home in Hampton, the release said. Neither the types nor the amounts of drugs were provided.
He was spotted at a Walmart in McDonough and was arrested after a brief attempt to run away, the release said.
Johnson will remain at the Clayton County Jail until he’s turned over to the state to serve his 100 year sentence, the release said.
