Police have arrested the second suspect in the case of a man who was shot to death in Gainesville in front of his 15-year-old son.

Marquis Lejon Studivant, 27, was arrested Friday after a brief chase, Gainesville police spokesman Kevin Holbrook said Saturday.

Dennis Ronald Gayton, 47, was shot April 4 on Carlton Street, police said earlier. The incident was drug-related, Holbrook said.

Studivant already was charged with felony murder and two counts of aggravated assault.

He was seen in a vehicle on Mill Street on Friday afternoon, police said. Hall County Sheriff’s Office deputies tried to stop the vehicle, but Studivant drove from the scene.

Police then joined the pursuit and Studivant was captured without incident.

Tadrick Terrian Osborne was arrested in August in connection with Gayton’s death. He was charged with felony murder (party to a crime) and two counts of aggravated assault (party to a crime), Holbrook said.
